Ingredients for Hanuman Vada :
1 cup Urad Dal (Black lentils)
1 t-spoon Kali Mirch (Peppercorns)
1 t-spoon Rice flour
1/2 t-spoon cumin seeds (Jeera)
Oil for frying
salt to taste
How to make Hanuman Vada :
- Soak Urad dal in water for 4-5 hours. Coarsely grind it to a paste. Add peppercorns and further grind it a bit.
- Take this mixture in a bowl and add all the remaining ingredients to this batter, mix it properly with hands.
- In a medium size pan heat oil to deep fry Hanuman vada. Take a handful of vada batter and give it a round shape of flat vada with hole at the center (like a flat donut).
- Deep fry Hanuman vada in oil at medium heat till reddish golden from both sides.
