Ingredients for Rasam Powder:
1/2 cup coriander seeds (Dhaniya)
1 1/2 table-spoon cumin seeds (Jeera)
1 table-spoon Whole black pepper (Khadi Kali Mirch)
1 table-spoon red chilli powder (lal mirch)
3/4 t-spoon mustard seeds (rai)
1/4 t-spoon fenugreek seeds (methi)
1/2 t-spoon turmeric powder (haldi)
1/4 t-spoon asafoetida (hing)
1 table-spoon curry leaves (Kadhi patta)
How to make Rasam Powder:
- Take a small pan and put all the ingredients in it except turmeric and asafoetida. Now roast them on low heat for 3-4 mins, stirring continuously. Now turn off the heat and cool it.
- Dry Grind all the ingredients including turmeric and asafoetida to form a smooth powder. Store this Rasam powder in an air-tight jar.
