Ingredients for Gujarati Bajri Vada :
1 cup bajri flour (pearl millet)
1/2 cup wheat flour (Aata)
2 table-spoon Suji (Rava)
1 table-spoon sesame seeds (Til)
4 table-spoon Yogurt (Dahi)
2 table-spoon ginger-garlic paste
1 green chilly, chopped
1 t-spoon dhania jeera powder
1/2 t-spoon red chilli powder
1 t-spoon Haldi (Turmeric powder)
salt to taste
Oil to deep fry
How to make Bajri Vada :
- Combine all the ingredients by adding a water in sufficient quantity to make a suitable thick batter. Leave the batter for 6-8 hours to ferment.
- In a medium size pan heat oil to deep fry Vadas. Take a handful of vada batter and give it a round shape of vada.
- Repeat the procedure for the remaining batter and deep fry them at medium heat till golden-brown from both sides.
- Serve Gujarati Bajri vada hot with tea or chutney.
