Buff Vada Recipe

Ingredients for Buff Vada :

To Prepare the coating :
4 potatoes, boiled and Mashed
1 cup sabudana (Sago) soaked in water for 5-6 hours
1 cup rajgara flour
2 cups moraiyo flour
1 table-spoon ginger paste (Adrak)
2 green chillies, chopped
salt to taste
Oil to deep fry Vada

To Prepare the filling :
1/2 cup groundnut, minced
1/2 cup grated coconut
1 lemon, juiced
1 green chilly, chopped
a bunch of coriander leaves, chopped
salt to taste

 

How to make Buff Vada :

  • Take a large bowl and mix all the ingredients for the Coating. Mash it well with hands to make a soft dough. Make small round balls with this dough.
  • Take a separate bowl and mix all the ingredients of the filling, make small stuffing balls of it.
  • Take a round ball of the coating and roll it to a round shape cover. Put a stuffing ball on it and cover it completely with a coating. Repeat the same procedure for the remaining balls.
  • Deep fry these vada in a frying pan till they get golden brown.
  • Serve Farali Gujarati Buff Vada hot with curd or chutney.
