Ingredients for Tamil (Madras) Rasam Powder :

5 table-spoon coriander seeds (Dhaniya)
1/2 cup Red gram dal (Thuvaram parupu / toor dal)
18-20 Red chillies (Kaintha milagai / Khadi lal mirch)
4 table-spoon Whole black pepper (Milagu / Khadi Kali Mirch)
4 table-spoon cumin seeds (Jeera / Jeeragam)
5 table-spoon fenugreek seeds (Vendayam / methi)

 

How to make Tamil Rasam Powder :

  • Take a small pan and dry roast all the ingredients one by one separately.
  • Now, turn off the heat and cool the ingredients to room temperature.
  • Dry Grind all the ingredients to a smooth powder.
  • Store Tamil Rasam powder in a dry air-tight jar.
