Blueberry Chutney Recipe

Blueberry chutney is tangy and sweet in flavour. Blueberry is a rich source of vitamin C and phytochemicals which promote good health and prevent certain diseases. Blueberry chutney can be used to spread over bread or chapatis.Blueberry chutney is also known as jamun chutney.

Ingredients for Blueberry Chutney:

250 gms. fresh Blueberries (Jamun)
1 onion, finely chopped
1/2 inch ginger, mashed (adrak)
1/2 inch cinnamon, grated (dal cheeni)
1/2 t-spoon Mustard seeds (rai)
1/4 cup vinegar (sirca)
1/2 t-spoon salt
1/4 cup sugar

 

How to make Blueberry Chutney:

  • Take a frying pan and add 1 t-spoon oil to it and heat it for 2 mins. Now add all the ingredients and cook on low heat until it forms a smooth and thick paste. Stir occasionally. Turn off the heat and let it get cool at room temperature.
  • Take it out and serve Blueberry chutney in a glass bowl. Delicious blueberry chutney is ready to eat.
