Banana Chutney Recipe

Ingredients for Banana Chutney:

4 ripe Bananas, peeled and chopped (Kela)
1/2 cup Sugar
2 table-spoon Raisins (Kishmish)
5 blanched Almonds, split into two (Badam)
a pinch of Cinnamon (Dalchini powder)
1 Clove, grounded (Laung)
1 big cardamoms (Moti Elaichi)
1/4 t-spoon Red chili pepper (Lal Mirchi)
1/4 cup Vinegar (Sirka)
1/2 t-spoon Salt



How to make banana chutney:

  • Take a thick bottom fry pan and add vinegar, sugar and chopped banana to it. Cook on low heat until sugar dissolves, stirring continuously.
  • Then, add the remaining ingredients and further cook on low heat for 2 mins. Then, turn off the heat.
  • Allow banana chutney to get cool at room temperature. Then, put banana chutney in a air tight glass jar.
  • Banana chutney is ready to serve. You can also keep banana chutney in a refrigerator.
