Tomato and Onion Raita is the most common raita recipe you will find in indian homes. It can be served with pulao, roti sabzi and sometimes it is served alone. As we don't roast tomato and onion so its gives a raw taste of both of them in raita and becomes really easy to make. It is also known as Indian Tamatar Pyaz ka raita.
Ingredients for Tomato and Onion Raita:
1 cup Yogurt (Dahi)
1 small tomato
1/2 t-spoon grounded Black pepper (Kali Mirch)
10-15 Green Coriander leaves (Hara Dhaniya)
1/2 t-spoon Chat Masala
1/2 t-spoon Salt
1 cup water
How to make Tomato and Onion Raita:
- Blend yogurt for 2 mins.
- Add water to it and mix it further until it gets smooth.
- Add chopped tomatoes and onion to yogurt mix.
- Sprinkle pepper, salt, Chat Masala and mix raita properly.
- Garnish Raita with chopped coriander leaves. Onion Tomato Raita is ready to serve.
