Dried ginger is also known as Sonth powder. It is medicinal in nature in normal for as well as in ground form. It is often used in many dishes and drinks like ginger tea. Sonth is the main ingredient in Sonth Chutney.
Ingredients for Ginger Powder:
100 gms. Ginger (Adrak)
How to make Ginger Powder:
- Peel off the skin of ginger and slice it.
- Keep the sliced ginger under sunlight for 2-3 days or till moisture evaporated completely.
- Grind dried ginger to a fine powder. Ginger powder (Sonth) is ready to use.
- Store it in a dry airtight jar.
