Kerala Garam Masala is a Combination of all the spices basically used in Indian Cuisine.
Ingredients for Kerala Garam Masala :
20 Green Cardamoms (elakka / choti elaichi)
1 Star Anise (Nakshathra Poo / Thakkolam)
1/2 Nutmeg (jadikya / jaifal)
2 pieces of 1 inch each cinnamon (dalchini / patta)
2 table-spoon Fennel Seeds (Perinjeerakam)
2 table-spoon cloves (Laung / gramboo)
How to make Kerala Garam Masala :
- Dry roast all the ingredients on low heat for 3-4 mins, stirring continuously. Now turn off the heat and cool to room temperature.
- Grind it to a fine powder. Store Garam masala powder in a dry air-tight jar.
