Kashmiri Garam Masala or Masalla can be used as a seasoning in various Indian dishes. It can also be used as a paste by mixing little amount of water with garam masala powder.
Ingredients for Kashmiri Garam Masala :
2 table-spoon cumin seeds (Kala Jeera)
1/2 t-spoon Mace (javitri)
2 table-spoon Whole black pepper (Khadi Kali Mirch)
1 bay leaf (Tej Patta)
1/4 t-spoon grated nutmeg (jaiphal)
2 cinnamon sticks (dal chini)
4-5 cloves (Laung)
4-5 cardamoms (choti Ilaichi)
How to make Kashmiri Garam Masala Powder :
- Take a small pan and put all the ingredients in it. Dry Roast them on low heat until it releases nice aroma, stirring continuously.
- Cool to room temperature and dry Grind them to a fine powder. Keep this Kashmiri Garam masalla powder in a clean glass jar.
- It can be used as a seasoning or a garam masala Paste.
