Ingredients for Makai na Vada :
1 cup Makai ka Atta (Corn Flour)
1 table-spoon Sesame Seeds (Til)
1/2 t-spoon cumin seeds (Jeera)
1/2 t-spoon Red chilli powder
1/2 t-spoon turmeric powder (Haldi)
a pinch each of baking soda and asafoetida (Hing)
Oil for frying
salt to taste
How to make Makai na Vada :
- Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix it properly with hands. Add water to knead it into a soft dough.
- Divide this large dough into small round balls. Roll out a puri of these small balls.
- In a medium size pan heat oil to deep fry Makai na vada. Deep fry Makai na vada in oil at medium heat till light golden from both sides.
