Cabbage Kofta Curry Recipe

Indian Cabbage Kofta Curry Recipe is served with rotis or chapatis and sometimes with pulao.

Ingredients for Cabbage Kofta Curry:

1/2 Cabbage Shredded (Patta Gobhi)
2 Tomatoes chopped
1 cinnamon small stick (dal-chini)
3 table-spoon all Purpose flour or Besan
1 t-spoon coriander powder (dhania)
1 t-spoon cumin (jeera)
Oil for deep frying
1 onion chopped
1 clove (laung)
1 t-spoon ginger (adrak) finely chopped
1 Cardamon (elaichi)
1/2 t-spoon sugar
1/2 cup water
10-15 leaves coriander (dhaniya patti)

 

How to make Cabbage Kofta curry:

  • Take a grinder and add tomatoes, onion, coriander, cumin, ginger and grind them to form a paste. Keep it aside
  • Take a bowl, add cabbage, flour and a pinch of salt to it, add some water to knead them. Make a dough out of them. Now make small balls of this dough
  • Take oil in a pan and deep fry these balls. Take them out and keep aside
  • Now, take a non-stick frying pan, add 1 t-spoon of oil and heat it on medium , now add cinnamon stick, paste and salt to taste and sugar, stir it frequently
  • Cook until the paste turns brown, then add water to it
  • Now add fried balls (kofta) to the pan and simmer it for 5 mins. by covering the pan. Then, turn off the heat,
  • Garnish Cabbage Kofta with finely chopped coriander leaves.
